BOY - Sweet day, sunlight, my swan is swimming in total solitude.
In the blue lake the time is frozen, the water is a glass,
hold my hand.
I have tried in any way to know how to smash the fog,
but it's useless: cut head and tail, hit the body of disgrace,
light my mind.
THE PROPHET - Smiling mask, million pounds, easy life are the right answers, Boy!
Fill the safe working hard, giving up all your stupid doubts.
If you want a bright future you've to follow my advice:
first, forget all your feelings, second, think about gold!
Buy a car, nice clothes, golden watch and the game begins,
gentle ways, friendliness and a smile even when your blood boils.
This is your revelation and a treasure for you!
Now please give me ten pounds and stay away from the sea!
BOY - Sweet night, moonlight, my swan is gone, flew, and I'm coming back.
The witch mixes her murky potion but I won't drink her cup
and I’ll rise.
I am tired of this dark forest and now I come to town.
Seems to me that the prophet was clear, I really have to change:
a new course.
I'm a recent Sanguine Hum convert and I can't believe it's taken me until now to discover them! This is a simply fabulous album. If you're a Steven Wilson, Anathema or even a Gentle Giant, Jellyfish or Hatfield and the North fan, get yourself a copy. Great musicianship, wonderful melodies, superb voice, top songwriting. John Ferguson
The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer. Firmly rooted in the past (late 60s, 70s), nevertheless with a fresh sound. Guests incude The Tangent's Andy Tillison and Soft Machine's Theo Travis. Carsten Pieper
In 2019, I was in Salisbury and attended the Alphabet Business Convention without knowing any artist. Lost Crowns was my favourite band that played there. Pablo P.
